The Audi USB/MP3 interface is perfect for connecting a USB Disk or MP3/MP4 player to your factory stereo. The new XCarlink Bluetooth units retain all of the same functionality as Xcarlink Model V but also adds the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity. When connected to a bluetooth device you can enjoy music thorogh a USB drive/SD Card or MP3/4 etc and then when an incoming call is received the music playing will automatically pause and the call can be heard through the car stereo speakers. Music playing then resumes as soon as the call ends. For added convenience there is a call answering button located on the microphone.

In addition it can also be used to wirelessly stream music from a A2DP bluetooth enabled mobile phone!

This is the perfect option if you do not have an iPod. The USB /MP3/Bluetooth Car kit allows to connect your MP3/MP4 player to your Audi factory car stereo system without any loss of sound quality!! Simply perfect CD quality sound all the time.

It will also allow you to control your MP3/MP4 through your factory radio and steering wheel contols.

The xcarlink connects directly to the existing CD Changer port on your Car stereo (as shown in the diagram below) Which in some cars can be reached from the passenger side, on other cars the car stereo will need to be removed. Instructions to remove your car stereo to access the CD changer port can be found through many online resources, car manuals or by a local installer. On most cars the unit can be installed in approx 30 minutes. One of the unique features of the VW interface is that it has an input connector which enables you to continue using your existing CD changer.
