The Xcarlink Mercedes Rear & Front camera interface allows an aftermarket camera to be integrated to the original Mercedes Comand NTG5 Navigation screen.  The reverse camera image is automatically displayed on the screen when the car is in reverse gear and the image is overlaid with coloured graphics and shows the path that the vehicle will take based on the position of the steering wheel. The interface also provides you with Video input integration allowing you to add any video source such as Smartphone mirroring, or Digital TV which is controllable from the origianl system  

There is also a dedicated Front camera input on this interface which allows a front camera to be added to your system.   The front camera can then be set to automatically display on your screen when when you change between reverse and drive (or first gear in a manual vehicle). It then deactivates automatically after a set period of time or when the the speed of the vehicle is above 10mph.

It also supports Picture in Picture so that you will also continue to view your Parking sensors and the rear camera image at the same time.  

The interface does not replace your original system - it offers perfect integration to maintain your OEM appearance.

Installation

The interface is provided with a plug and play connector which fits on the back of the factory head unit which is designed to avoid the need to cut any wires or make any modification to your original system.
