Our Car Multimedia Interface is a revolutionary product that allows you to integrate an external Video source to your cars factory fitted iDrive Screen. Once connected it gives you the ability to connect an In car DVD player, Games Console (such as Playstation2 or Xbox), iPod Video, Digital TV Tuner, Rear View Camera, Car Navigation GPS etc to keep your passengers entertained. The Multimedia Interface has a total of 3 Video inputs, rear camera input, video out (for connecting to additional external screens) and RGB connection to add Satellite Navigation if you do not have a factory fitted option. The interface does not replace your original System - it offers perfect integration to maintain your OEM appearance. Simply use the included toggle switch to change video source or connect to your iDrive control to easily switch between the multimedia system and your standard control interface. The Multimedia interface is an a plug and play video interface. It works simply by interrupting the signal from the iDrive control when you press the toggle switch or hold down the iDrive control for more than one second.

Installation involves removing the original connector on the back of your iDrive screen and connecting it to the interface, then connect the supplied LVDS cable from the video interface back into your iDrive screen. The plug & play harness needs to be connected to the back of the head unit. You will need to remove the original harness and connect it to the other end of the Xcarlink one.

Sound is provided by connecting the interface to the Aux input or an FM modulator.
